Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange . . . SRBX

SRBX    Events   Scholarships

The Sacramento Builders’ Exchange (SBE) dates back to October 1901 when a group of local builders (long before licensed contractors) formed an association for the purpose of discussing common problems and exchanging ideas relating to their crafts.  At that time the organization was incorporated as the Builders Association of Sacramento County.  The original association has developed into one of the largest and most active Builders’ Exchanges in the Western United States and is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing the overall construction industry in Northern California.

SERVICES
As a non-profit association, we are here to serve our members with our plan room and many other direct services, and to promote the welfare of the construction industry.  Our legislative and political action endeavors are carried on through our SBEPAC (Sacramento Builders’ Exchange Political Action Committee), administered by trustees appointed by the Exchange Board of Directors and operating under their jurisdiction.

OBJECTIVE
Our primary objective is the same as it was in 1901:  continue to provide quality service for our membership and the entire construction industry.  To that end, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange became the first Builders’ Exchange in California to offer an “Online Plan Room” allowing, members to view, download, and print all job documents from their desk or laptop any time of the day or night.  This program is the most comprehensive source for bidding jobs in Northern California.
