The Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) aims to focus our resources on improving and increasing the quality and quantity of workers entering into construction-related careers.

Since our formation in 2002, we have ccontributed over $75,000 to the Sacramento State University Construction Management Program; awarded over $50,000 in student scholarships; financially supported the Job Shadow Program; given $160,000 to sponsor the Annual Design/Build Competition with 300 student participants from 19 schools; contributedover $300,000 as the primary financial supporter of safety training for over 4,500 employees; and become the sponsor of the Sacramento chapter of the National ACE Mentoring program.

 

The Foundation's geographic reach coincides generally with the areas in which members and donors do business. The following counties are within the scope of Foundation granting activity: Sacramento, Yolo, Solano, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin and Sutter.

                          

CIEF cannot consider grants to the following types of organizations or for the following purposes:

 

· Religious organizations for explicit religious activities, as distinguished from social or educational activities;

· Political organizations or political campaigns or lobbying for specific legislation;

· Fraternal organizations, societies, orders or other foundations;

· Courtesy advertising or tickets for benefits.

 

It is the Foundation's intent to make quarterly grants for up to $5,000.

Please submit your completed application cover sheet, along with your organization's budget and a list, if applicable, of your Board of Directors, including their primary affiliations. Grants packages should be sent to:
