Foundation Grants  -

        Purpose, Focus and Reach

PURPOSE  -  The CIEF Mission

CIEF By-Laws direct the foundation to advance and support the construction industry's education and research activities for the benefit of employers, employees, consumers and communities impacted by the construction industry in the seven-county Sacramento region.

FOCUS  -  The Foundation's Role

A primary function of the foundation is to solicit construction industry members and affiliates -- consolidating funds for investment in strategic educational programs and activities that will enhance the future workforce and vitality of the industry.

The Construction Industry Educational Foundation seeks to invest resources in a diverse array of the best available opportunities to improve the quality and increase the quantity of workers entering construction-related careers.

Should a pronounced educational need be defined -- but no program exist to deliver the desired service -- a creative initiative by CIEF Trustees may stimulate industry forces and community capacities to develop a new program that the foundation could support.

Whenever feasible, CIEF seeks strategic alliances and partnerships within the industry, among educational enterprises, and with governmental agencies throughout the greater community -- to leverage for more significant cumulative impact.

REACH  -  The Foundation's Umbrella
